Calm and reliable Lakota wants
to please…he’s a two year old that’s broke to ride and has had
several hours in the saddle and even a few trails ride under his belt.
Lakota is gelded, he’s had 3 months of professional training based on
Clinton Anderson and Pat Parelli techniques, and he is current on his
vaccinations including West Nile. He’ll let you walk up to him and
halter him in the pasture, he leads effortlessly, he will stand tied,
stand for the farrier, stand for vaccinations, and he even stands for a
bath!
Lakota has no bad habits, he’s desensitized to everything from
tarps to coats, from 4 wheelers to trucks to tractors, and from chickens
and goats to barking dogs. He isn’t a terrorist in the herd or at the
feed trough. We raise our horse to trust us and to want to be around
us…because we want them to leave our ranch and find homes where
they’ll be loved and enjoyed for a lifetime.
Lakota’s Dun factor
markings are stunning. A broad red line in contrast to his blonde
palomino coat travels down his back, the tips of his ears look like
they’ve been dipped in the same red paint and the zebra stripe
markings on his legs are striking.
He’s built like a brick house with
powerful hindquarters due to his foundation bloodlines and he’s a
beautiful mover…his sire is a local barrel champion. He has the
potential for any prospect you’d want to train him in... anything from
western pleasure with his natural western pleasure trot or competitive
trail if you are a show person, he’s sure footed and sound with the
muscling for endurance trail or if you’re a weekend rider…he’ll
fill the bill… he’d even make a great 4-H or youth project.
He is
already registered with the American Quarter Horse Association and he
has a high percentage of Foundation blood so he can probably be
registered with one of the Foundation Quarter Horse associations as
well. Also I believe he is color eligible to be registered with the
Buckskin Association so he could be shown both AQHA and IBHA.
Lakota Lil
Bear brings to the table some of the horse worlds most influencial
reining and cutting horse champions including the most celebrated show
horse and sire of his era siring some of today's most influencial
reining and cutting horses AQHA Hall of Fame Champion, Poco Bueno; AQHA
